AML and KYC Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Our position
BrokerCortex is an informational website. We do not hold client money, we do not process payments, we do not open accounts and we do not act as an intermediary in any transaction.
Because of that, the customer due diligence obligations that apply to regulated financial institutions do not apply to us in the same way. We publish this policy because readers in this sector reasonably expect a clear statement rather than silence.
Why AML and KYC rules exist
Anti-money-laundering rules require regulated firms to understand who their clients are and where their funds come from. Know-your-customer procedures are the practical side of that: identity verification, source of funds checks, and ongoing monitoring of activity.
The rules are not a formality invented to slow you down. They exist because opaque ownership and unverified funds are how proceeds of crime enter the financial system.
What to expect from a regulated firm
If a company asks you to transfer money, expect it to ask for identification before doing so. A firm that accepts funds without any verification is not being helpful, it is skipping a legal step, and that should concern you more than the paperwork.
- Identity documents and proof of address requested before an account is funded.
- Questions about the source of the funds being deposited.
- Payments accepted only from an account in your own name.
- Additional checks when transaction patterns change significantly.
Reporting a concern
If you believe a company described on this site is involved in financial crime, report it to the competent authority in your jurisdiction. Financial supervisors and national financial intelligence units accept reports directly from the public.
You may also write to [email protected]. We cannot investigate, and we cannot recover funds, but we do review the reference information we publish when a credible concern is raised.
Sanctions and restricted jurisdictions
Readers are responsible for complying with the sanctions and financial regulations that apply where they live. Information published on this site is not an invitation to deal with any company in a jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful.
